He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard F. Leatz and Judith C. Leatz (Winning); and his brother Mark Leatz. He is survived by: his wife Robin Leatz (Smith); and his siblings, James Leatz, Mick, Deborah Cossairt (Leatz), Ronald, Barbara Lang (Leatz), Bill Leatz and David Leatz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
