It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Keith Maxey of Grain Valley, Missouri, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Keith departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Keith may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Keith leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Layton Maxey and Mazie Maxey (Richardson). He is survived by: his wife Lona Brotherton of Grain Valley, MO; his daughter Eastin Meyer (John) of Columbia, MO; and his grandsons, Beckett and Brooks Meyer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harvesters, Community Services League, or the Blue Springs Education Foundation.
