He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Phelps and Eleanore Phelps (Rapier); his son J. C. Phelps; and his siblings, Steven, Phillip, Joe, Cheryl and Deryl.
He is survived by: his children, Dustin Phelps of Georgia and Kelly Brazil of Wentzville, MO; and his siblings, Carolyn Gloyd of Doniphan, Douglas Phelps of Grandin, Harold Phelps, Jr. of Doniphan, Glen Phelps of Grandin and Kevin Phelps of Naylor, MO. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel (606 Walnut St, Doniphan, MO 63935). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Good Hope Cemetery.
