He was predeceased by : his parents, Glenn Brewer and Dorothy Brewer of Adrian; and his wife Nadine Snare. He is survived by : his children, Elaine Brewer of Grandview, Lesley Brewer of Independence and Sarah Stout (Andrew) of Independence; his grandchildren, Darrin, Danielle, Sophia and Amiyah; and his sisters, Lois Leon of Liberty and Ann Bolling of Adrian.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heifer International or K.I.N.D. (thru UNICEF).
