He was predeceased by: his parents, Lazarus Hawk and Hazel Hawk (Hennegin); his siblings, Don and Louise Ross (Jim); his siblings-in-law, Marcia and Bob Hickman; and his close friend Bill Libel.

He is survived by: his wife Dorrilla Grace; his children, Gina McNeese (Craig), Bart Hawk (Karla), Troy Hawk (Abby), Jason Hawk (Joni), Lori Groom (Gene) and Brandon Hawk (Amber); his sisters, Bonnie Taylor (Jewell) and Ann Bergman (Don); and his sister-in-law Karen Grace. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
