He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Hiatt and Mary Elizabeth Hiatt (Pickering); his sons, Bruce and Douglas Hiatt; and his siblings, Burl Nelson Hiatt, Paul Bervin Hiatt and Wannita Jean Clutter.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Susanne Hiatt; his son Phillip Hiatt of Lake Ozark; his stepdaughter Marsha Perry (Myles) of Platte City; and his sister Billie Fern Wake of Isadora. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Grant City Cemetery (20676 MO-46, Grant City, MO 64456).
