It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Dale Johnson of Green Castle, Missouri, who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Johnson and Jolene Johnson (Grabosch); his daughter Nichole Renee Johnson; his parents-in-law, William and Zula McVay of Novinger; his brothers-in-law, William and Daniel McVay; and his grandparents, John, Reta Grabosch, Frank and Nellie Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Ellen Maloney (BJ) and Sunny Dale Tipton; his wife Barbara Ellen Johnson (McVay); his grandchildren, Brenner (Meghan) of Liberty, Cade of Liberty, Teagan Maloney of Liberty, Eli of Green Castle, Noah Tipton of Green Castle, Jarrett McCarty (Lacey) of Parkville and Jeremy McCarty (Naydelin) of Kansas City; and his siblings, Tonya Kiger (Randy) of Green Castle, Jerol Johnson (Theresa) of Green City and Taryn Shafer (Brent) of Kirksville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
