She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Kiger and Nellie Van Kiger (Brandon); her son Eldon LaFaver; her siblings, Bessie Marie Wilson, Eva Mae Branstetter and James Irvie Kiger; and her grandsons, Jason Wayne Shafer and Jeremiah Bush.

She is survived by: her husband Ronald LaFaver; her children, Susan Jessen (Kirk) of Smithville, Paul LaFaver (Marie) of Kirksville, Glenda Shafer (Randall) of Kirksville, Robert LaFaver (Christy) of Green City and Damon LaFaver (Audrey Ford) of Macon, Missouri; her grandchildren, Amanda Bush, Sara Paalhar (Andy), Eric Jessen (Cicely), Alan Gashwiler (Darcy), Justin Shafer (Caressa), Jordan Shafer (Sarah Majors), Jared Shafer (Alyssa), Carrie Sanchez (Luie), Marissa Western (Zach), Blythe LaFaver, Stetson Hodgen, Keitlin Booth and Blaaze Booth; her siblings, Marjorie Harlan and Glenn Kiger; and her sister-in-law Patsy Harlan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
