She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald M. McMurray and Ethel Moritta McMurray (Moriston); her brother Joe McMurray; and her brother-in-law Alvin Collins. She is survived by: her husband Harold Simmons; her children, Michael Simmons of Winnemucca, Mark Simmons of Butler, Missouri and Debbie Geile (Rob) of St. Louis, Missouri; and her siblings, Mettie Schreiweis (Dan) of Lamar, Margarett Greenwald (Harold) of Ida Grove, Melva Collins of Lamar, Missouri and Donald McMurray (Pearl) of Lamar, Missouri. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Newport Baptist Church (1080 State Hwy BB, Lamar, MO 64759). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
