She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Gass and Faye Gass (Sanders); her husband Bob Steeley; and her sister Mary Keith. She is survived by: her siblings, Ruby Eddington, Bonnie Daniel (Kermit), Bobby Lee Gass and Dale Gass (Gale); her siblings' children, Christy, Charlotte, Doug, Brad, Dale, Lisa, Tammy and Donna Faye; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Stevan, Kyle, Alegandro and Ariana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
