He is survived by: his wife Anna Marie; his children, Michael Short (Amy), Daniel Short (Jackie) and Samantha Van Weelden (Edwin); his grandchildren, Andrew, Tyler, Grace, Joe, Carter, Nathan, Kaleb, Avery, Isla and Porter; his great grandchildren, Charles, Eden, Ridoc and Willow; and his siblings, Howard Short (Julie), Darlene Dugan (Sandi Truitt) and Debbie Schuhmacher (Brian). He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Roots Church (235 N Service Rd W, St Clair, MO 63077). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
