He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Assel and Jean Henley Assel. He is survived by: his significant other Gina Kaut; his daughters, Brooke Higgins (Colby) and Brittany Assel (DeAndre Thomas); and his grandchildren, Olive Higgins, Elijah Higgins, Adaya Thomas and Amari Thomas. He is also survived by 2 brothers, 4 sisters, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bram Funeral Home (208 E School St, Hamilton, MO 64644). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Phillip's memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of the funeral home.
