He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cowden and Bernice Rhodes Cowden; and his grandparents, James and Rosie Rhodes. He is survived by: his children, Bradley Pemberton of Reeds Spring, MO, Jay Pemberton (Karen) of Palmyra, MO and Kristen Muehring (Jacob) of Fulton, MO. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help assist with medical expenses.
