He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Nelson and Velma Nelson (Bingham); and his brothers, Ernie Nelson, Bob Nelson and Charles Nelson.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Nelson (Shelly) of Hannibal, Tonya Gilbert (Joe) of Hannibal and Robin Howland (Ryan) of Hannibal; his grandchildren, Amber Bainter, Justin Gilbert (Emily), Seth Nelson (Star) and Noah Nelson (Kloie); his great grandchildren, Alexia, Hailyn, Eleana, Brooklyn, Oakley, Bristol and Anavay; and his close friend Mike DePew (Tammy) of Wentzville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
