He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter William "Bib" Thomure and Nancy Kaye Sims Thomure; his in-laws, Gerald and Sue Dobson; his sister-in-law Cynthia Welch; and his grandsons, Isaac Bruce and William Bruce.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Thomure (Jessica), Melissa Bruce (Daniel) and Erin Dickhut (Joel); his grandchildren, Alex Thomure, Kate Thomure, Evan Wallace (Brittany), Annalea Bruce, Lillianne Bruce, Daisy Dickhut, Henry Dickhut and Violet Dickhut; his great grandchildren, Lydia Wallace and Mabel Wallace; his siblings, Tammy Ryan (Pat), Jerry Thomure (Katie), Jonathan Thomure and Jimmy Thomure (Jenny); and his brother-in-law Michael Dobson (Susan).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
