He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Ira Charlton and Mable Lena McClain Charlton; his former wife Jean Charlton; his son Robert Charlton; and his siblings, Nellie Mayfield, Roscoe Jr. and Fred Charlton.
He is survived by: his children, Harold Eugene Charlton Jr., Vickie Rickey (Dennis), Peggy Hardy and Danny Patterson (Suzie); and his daughter-in-law Margi Charlton. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
