He is survived by: his children, Lori Ana Dos Santos (Arthur) of Phoenix, AZ, James J, Mudd Jr. (Kirsten) of Jefferson City, MO and Michelle Yarrington (Greg) of Hannibal, MO; and his grandchildren, Kelley Garrett, Shane Garrett, Jake Ryan Mudd (Alex Rios Molina), Jani Jo Martin and Haley Elizabeth Yarrington. He is also survived by four great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Departments Shooter's Education Program.
