He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Raymond Pettitt and Cleo Cooley Pettitt; his son Mike Withrow; and his brothers, Donald L. Pettitt and Richard V. Pettitt.
He is survived by: his close friend Charlotte Brown of Hannibal, MO; his children, Debra Barnhill of Macon, MO, Missy Pettitt of Louisiana, MO, Carol Schambach (Mike) of Vandalia, MO, Carla Willis of Wentzville, MO, Gerald "J. R." Willis of Vandalia, MO, Adam Pettitt (Crystal) of Monroe City, MO and Holly Purdy of Ocala, FL; his stepchildren, Hope Minear of Barry, IL and Billy Howell of Barry, IL; and his sisters, Wuanetta Webb of Bucklin, MO, Carolyn Ross of Hannibal, MO, Kathy Hill (Kevin) of Hannibal, MO and Christina Nelson (Gary) of Hannibal, MO. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
