She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Zepf and Agnes Zepf (Wieberg); her former husband Carl J. Varadin; and her sister Mary Elizabeth Haegele. She is survived by: her sons, Robert Varadin (Mary Grace) of Gilbert and Charles Varadin (Donna) of Ocala, Florida; her stepsons, Chris Ludwig (Kathy) of Palmyra and Clint Hays (Lauren) of Loose Creek, Missouri; and her brother Paul Zepf of Yuma, Arizona. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church Choir, or the Hannibal Head Start Program-two causes dear to Joan's heart.
