With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ruth Sherman-Hays of Hannibal, Missouri, who passed away on November 21, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mary Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Bailey and Bessie M. Fauks; and her siblings, Wanda Mitchell and Jim Reed Bailey. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Jacobson (Dave) of Rodgersville, IL, Bobby (Kent Miller) of Washington, IL, Lisa Wells (Eric) of Metamora, IL, Gina Sherman of Palmyra, MO and Alan Sherman of Peoria, IL. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
