It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roderick Sturtevant of Hannibal, Missouri, who passed away on December 3, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Sturtevant and Marjorie Akright Sturtevant; his siblings, Jackie Parrish, Clarence "Demps" Sturtevant and Warren "Butch" Sturtevant; and his siblings-in-law, Darrell Parrish and Shirley Sturtevant.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kara Villeneuve (Jef) of St. Paul, MO and Kelli Pryor (James) of Troy, MO; his brothers, Rick Sturtevant (Patti) of Bartonville, IL and Khoy Sturtevant (Julie) of Poplar Bluff, MO; his siblings-in-law, Pat Harmon (Paula) and Cheri Marshall (Jim); and his grandchildren, Austin Warner (Lex), Alexander Leftridge, Madeline Villeneuve and Evelyn Pryor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Stewart Cemetery (128 Foster Ave, Plainville, IL 62365).
