He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bode and Wilma Pflantz Bode; his wife Edna Colliver; his brother Loren Bode; and his niece Sharryl Bode.
He is survived by: his children, Lewis Bode (Robin) of Hannibal, MO, Dennis Bode of Lenexa, KS, Sarah Bode of Columbia, MO and Brian Bode (Betty) of Palmyra, MO; his siblings, Darryl Bode (Sharon) of Palmyra, MO, Ted Bode (Colleen) of Omaha, NE and Wanda Bauer (Arlin) of Cole Camp, MO; his sister-in-law Linda Bode of Ooltewah, TN; and his grandchildren, Angela Bode, Megan Hollywood (Keenan), Scott Bode (Denae), Colin Bode, Jordyn Bode, Brett Bode, Bailee Bode and Destiny Weber. He is also survived by one stepdaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
