He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark J. Kelly and Ellen Benson Kelly; and his sister Dorothy Wilburn. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Susan M. Meidl (Erik) of Hannibal, MO, William M. Kelly (Amy) of Augusta, GA and Kevin J. Kelly (Jenny) of Lawrenceville, GA; his grandchildren, Katherine Meidl, Laura Russell (Alexander), Sarah Walsh (Patrick), Joseph Meidl, Patrick Kelly, Elisabeth Kelly, Daniel Kelly and Anna Kelly; and his great grandchildren, Aurelia and Juliana Russell. He is also survived by grandfather and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A prayer was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home, Inc. (302 S 5th St, Hannibal, MO 63401). Visitation was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
