He is survived by : his wife Marjorie Puckett; his children, Jeff Koenig of Harrisburg, MO, Peter Koenig (LeAnn) of Moberly, MO, David Koenig of Prairie Home, MO, Richard "Chris" Koenig (Christi) of Columbia, MO and Eadie Gardiner (Kelly) of Harrisburg, MO; his grandchildren, Wesley, Kevin, Jonathan, Zachary, Lindsey, Lauren, Daniel, Jessica and Travis; his great grandchildren, Ashley, Millie, Easton and Collins; and his sisters, Lillian of Florissant, MO., Patricia of Florissant, MO. and Evelyn Koenig of Florissant, MO..

Over the course of his life, Richard donated 100's of pounds of produce to the Fayette and Columbia Food Pantries.
