He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Owen and Florence Alma Hughes (Kessel); his brothers, Raymond and Jim; and his uncle Lloyd Kessel.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Hughes of Harrisonville, MO; his daughters, Joy Turner (David) of Creighton, MO and Marla Tucker (Curtis) of Raymore, MO; his sister Gertrude Halloway of Mayview, MO; his grandchildren, Dawn (Brandon), Haley (Jonathan), Lance (Jim), Kelsey, Megan (Warren), Aaron (Ashley) and Sarah (Carey); his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Ben (Josh), Reygan and Charlee; and his great great grandchild Leni. He is also survived by great- grandchildren.
