He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Elijah Shingleton and Jewel May Shingleton (Williams); and his brother Duane Shingleton (Ella May). He is survived by: his wife Ella May Rushly; his children, Debbie Bennett (Johnny) of Harrisonville, Tamie Bennett (John R.) of Harrisonville and Jerry Shingleton (Angela) of Harrisonville; his grandchildren, Jamie Bennett of Harrisonville, John J. Bennett of Harrisonville, Lauren Brown (Jason) of Harrisonville and Dustin Bennett (Elizabeth) of Harrisonville; his great grandchildren, Eugene Brown and Chase Bennett; and his sister Carol Knight.
