He was predeceased by: his parents, James Milford and Alice LaVern Downey (Yancey). He is survived by: his wife Mary Downey of Harrisonville, MO; his children, Justin R. Downey of Kansas City, MO, Darren L. Patterson (Bonnie) of Adrian, MO and Meghan Downey of Kansas City, MO; and his sister Linda Hale (Ronnie) of Harrisonville, MO. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
