She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Gattenby and Verna Gattenby (Sprague); her husband Vern Ray Swearengin; her adoptive son Robert Wesley Swearengin; and her siblings, Ralph, Keith Gattenby, Dora Mae Hawk and Norma Jean Anderson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lois Milam of Harrisonville, MO and Marcella Powers (Andy) of Garden City, MO; her sister Peggy Jurgensmeyer (Roger) of Belton, MO; her grandchildren, Sarah Randolph (Lance), Drew Powers (Randi), James Milam (Lisa) and Blake Powers (Samantha); and her great grandchildren, Tucker Randolph, Hunter Milam, Fisher Randolph, Blakely Milam, Audrey Powers, Emma Powers, Wesley Powers and Wade Powers.
