He was predeceased by: his father David Lee; his wife Sharon Miller Newman; and his brother Clifford Newman. He is survived by: his mother Jean Yvonne Mearns Newman of Midlothian, Virginia.; and his daughters, Amanda Bangs (Wilmer) of Chesterfield, Kristin Wright (Timothy) of Powhatan, Virginia and Brittany Foster (Brandon) of Powhatan, Virginia. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
