He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Butler and Dorothy A. Butler (Tucker); his former wife Karon; his wife Minnie; and his brothers, Charles and Roy.

He is survived by: his children, Christopher Butler (Marty) of Harrisonville, MO and Kelly Butler of Chillicothe, MO; his stepdaughter Jeanne Sartin (Mike) of Lee's Summit, MO; and his grandchildren, Cole, Macey, Maryna Pinder (Jackson), Chad Speer (Karla) and Josh Speer (Sam). He is also survived by great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made to Harrisonville Youth Football or Shepard's Staff Food Pantry.
