He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Lena May Miller (Pennington); and his siblings, Jack, Jimmy Dan, Bettie Miller and Jean Anderson.

He is survived by: his sister Janie Miller of Harrisonville, MO. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
