He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Niles and Audrey Niles; and his wife Mary Virginia "Jenny" Niles. He is survived by: his children, Ken Niles (Gina Sue), Shannon Niles (Opal) and Cassie Bartels; his grandchildren, Cody, Taylor, Dylan, Connor (Abby), Hunter and Dalton; and his brother Raymond Niles (Mazie).
