The passing of Maxona Jean Lawler (Hartville, Missouri), born in Plainview, Texas leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 4, 2025 at the age of 83. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Max Otto and Winona V. Groce (Womack); and her spouse Jackie "Jack" Lawler. She is survived by: her siblings, A. O. "Butch" Groce (Brenda) of Lebanon, Charles Groce of Bovey and Joyce Lindsey (David) of Austin, Texas; and her nieces and nephews, Ronda Morgan (Jeff), Richard Groce (Emily), Anthony Lindsey (Julie), Rachel Lindsey, Ann Robertson, Elaine Roper, Valerie Fetters, Holly Mings, Amy Pinkston and Alyssa Timm. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartville Free Will Baptist Church (5658 State Hwy Z, Hartville, MO 65667). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Steele Memorial Cemetery South Main.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jack and Maxona Lawler Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home.
