She was predeceased by: her parents, Verden Johnson and Ina Ray Johnson (Brown); her husband Alva Barr; her son David Barr (Alva); her siblings, Stanley Johnson, Lawrence Johnson, Mabel Johnson Gregory, Mary June Johnson Nelson and Blanche Johnson Allcorn; and her siblings-in-law, L. D. Garland, Charles Nelson and Joella Garland.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Linda Barr; her sister-in-law Freda Barr; and her nieces, Elaine Murr and Julie Kelly.
