He was predeceased by: his parents, James McChesney and Pearl McChesney; his daughter Teresa; his siblings, Buster, Elmer, Merlin and Ruth; and his son-in-law Pete Eivins.

He is survived by: his wife Deloris Geyer; his children, Rick McChesney (Debbie), Cindy Eivins and Cheryl Osmon (Randy); and his grandchildren, David, Melissa, Derek, Jeff (Cassie), James (Sherece), Tammie (Dan), Monica (Jeremy), Neil (Darcie), Jeremy (Rachel), Adam (Trena), Brady (Ashley) and Cody (Heather). He is also survived by 27 great grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lone Rock Church.
