He was predeceased by : his parents, James L. Steinhauser Sr. and Lorraine Cummings; his sister Denise Dement; his son James C. Steinhauser Sr.; and his grandson James C. Steinhauser Jr..

He is survived by : his wife Betty Steinhauser; his children, Joey Steinhauser (Nikki) and Brenda Wilson (John); his grandchildren, Gabby, Isabelle, Riley, Isabella and Alexis; his siblings, Martin Steinhauser, Erick Nygaard and Regina Macri; and his nieces and nephews, Jason Dement, Aaron Dement, Sara Biddle, Keith Steinhauser, Kat Steinhauser, Kaley Steinhauser, Brooks Denny, Jacki Macri and Brandt Macri.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Collier's Funeral Home (3400 N Lindbergh Blvd, St Ann, MO 63074).
