He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee and Opal Marie Cox (Whited); his wife Ruby Irene; his sister Freda Weatherford (Robert); and his stepdaughter Rhonda Newman (Alan).
He is survived by: his children, Jefferey Cox (Randi) of Benald, Loretta Cox (Jeffery Carey) of Ft. Worth and Mark Cox of Hermann; and his siblings, Bonnie Stricklin (Lloyd) of Festus, Linda Elam (Gerry) of Poplar Bluff, Sam Cox of Springfield and Herb Cox (Sally) of Hatfield, Penn.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
