He is survived by: his wife Barbara Borcherding (Bell) of Hermann; his children, Eric Borcherding (Jessie) of Denver, Colorado and Shannon Sandefer (Pete) of New Haven, Missouri; his siblings, Beulah Helling of Mexico, Missouri, Mutzie Hiatte of St. Charles, Missouri, Ruthie Bredemeyer of Hermann, Missouri, Sonny Borcherding of New Haven, Missouri, Lloyd Borcherding (Dorothy) of New Haven, Missouri and Howard Borcherding (Sandy) of New Haven, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Evelyn Sandefer, Graham and Garrett Borcherding.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home (1053 Hwy C, New Haven, MO 63068). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to St. Peter's United Church of Christ.
