He was predeceased by: his parents, Clemens Henry Otto Mehl and Jessie Louise Lewis Mehl; his grandchild Skyler Lynn Castiaux; his nephew Jason Mehl; and his brother-in-law Bill Ware.
He is survived by: his former wife Kathryn Louise Moll; his daughter Elizabeth Lynn Castiaux (Andrew) of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Ryan Joseph Castiaux and Emma Marie Castiaux; and his siblings, Meg Ware of Texas, Liz Schroeder (Don) of Town, Jan Martin (Harry) of Fayetteville, AR, Thom Mehl (Beth) of Hartland, WI and Sue Kamprath (Steve) of Rolla, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
