He was predeceased by: his parents, Annie Atkins (Major) and Ernest Atkins; his sister Anita Atkins; his grandson Christopher Hess; and his niece Jamie Huddleston.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Hess (Kim) of Moberly, MO, Troy Ratliff (Sharon) of Higbee, MO, Rusty Ratliff (Carrie) of Higbee, MO and Terri Peters (Wes) of Moberly, MO; and his sister Janice Huddleston of Higbee, MO. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.
