It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara Rutherford of Higginsville, Missouri, who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Barbara leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Lichte and Constance Lichte (Windmoeller); her husband Lynn Rutherford; her daughter Jennifer Rutherford; and her brother Chris Lichte.
She is survived by: her daughter Cindy Hemme (Adam) of Higginsville; her grandchildren, Morgan Colborn (Dale) and Logan Hemme (Madison); and her great grandchild Rowan Colborn. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Stewart-Hoefer Funeral Home, Inc. (1600 N Main St, Higginsville, MO 64037).
