Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Bernice Shier of Higginsville, Missouri, who passed away at the age of 92, on July 9, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Maycock and Letha Maycock (Ryun); her husband Eugene Shier; and her siblings, Junior Maycock, Tommy Maycock, Jack Maycock, Larry Maycock, Kenny Maycock and Elaine Murry.
She is survived by: her children, Bill Shier (Michelle) of Higginsville, Patricia Hayes (David) of Higginsville and Cynthia Morris (Larry) of Higginsville; her brother Donald Maycock (Shirley) of Waverly, MO; her grandchildren, Billy Wilson (Chris), Jeremy Hayes (Cassie), Zac Hayes, Marcus Hayes, Shelby Fisher (Zach), Ross Shier (Brooke), Zoey Shier, Ryun Morris (Megan) and Austin Morris (Christy); and her sisters-in-law, Pat Maycock, Louise Shier, Lois Heiple and Brenda Maycock. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Central Christian Church (16 W 20th St, Higginsville, MO 64037). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made out to Dover Cemetery.
