James left this world on July 12, 2025 at the age of 67, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roberta Myers and Howard Myers; and his grandson Shane Smith. He is survived by: his wife Joi; his children, Aaron Myers (Kerrie) and Sarah Myers; his stepson Jeremy Smith (Jodie); and his sister Karen Coppock (Tom). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The military honors will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
