He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Wingate and Alece Wingate (Shelby); his daughter-in-law Tina Wingate; his great grandchild Hailey Aversman; his sister Nancy Garnett (Wingate); and his wife Carol Wingate (Rustman).
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Church (Galen) of Lexington, Kimberly Goodlove (Duane) of Higginsville and Michael Wingate of Bauxite, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Allison Aversman (Chris), Sydney Wingate and Shelby Wingate; his great grandchildren, Kylie, Taylor and Bentley Aversman; and his former wife Julia Wingate (Johnson) of Higginsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Diabetic Unit of Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City.
