She is survived by: her husband Gary Lubbes; her daughters, Michele Avery of St. Louis, Angela Sanders (David) of Castro Valley, Calif. and Sara Simpson (John); her grandchildren, Will, Kate Sanders of Macy Avery, J. C, Simpson, Brighton and Lakeland Frost; and her sisters, Ruth Saunders, Mary Lahti (John), Hilda Reis (Roger) and Chris Alexander (Kim).

She sewed dozens of homemade masks during the start of Covid and gave them to health workers when masks were impossible to find.
