She was predeceased by: her parent Ozzie; her sister Jeanne Frost; and her former husbands, Glenn Higgins, Duane Dean Winkelman and Wesley K. Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Tim Winkelman (Terri), Thad Winkelman (Susan), Lynn Philbin (Wayne), Crystal Thomas Smith, Kevin Thomas (Chris), Matt Thomas, Jennifer Gallo (Troy), Adam Thomas and Nelle Thomas; her husband Lonnie Havens (Linda); and her sister Janet Davis (Donny). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 14 great‑grandchildren, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Penwell Gabel Funeral Home (1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS 66604). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice Festus, 3190 US Highway 61, Ste G1000, Festus, MO 63028, in recognition of Connie's compassionate nature and lifelong devotion to helping others.
