He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward Hicks and Kathryn Juanita Bausch. He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Hicks; his children, Douglas "Bobby" Hicks Jr. (Kelly), Christen Zierenberg (Adam) and Holly Kestermont (Joe); and his grandchildren, Jensen, Jarett, Emsley, Ella, Luke, Joey, Hanna, Lucas and Dylan.
The military honors was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
