He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Luther Knotts and Lillian Irene Knotts; his brothers, Leon Shepard and Larry Knotts; and his daughter Tracy Knotts.
He is survived by: his sister Brenda Cumins; the mother of his children Sally Knotts; his children, Steve (Peg Knotts), Richie (Kathleen Knotts) and Kristi Ijames; and his grandchildren, Eric (Nikki Knotts), Christopher Knotts, Rachel (Eric Miller), Skyler (Chelsea Smith), Cheyenne (Brandon Peters), Luke Knotts, Rebecca, Issac, Ben Zamarron and Heather Cochran. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
