He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Gaynor and Clara Hahn; his stepmother Billie Gaynor; his sister Venetta Watts; his brother-in-law Todd Smith; and his nephew Michael Gaynor.
He is survived by: his siblings, Marie Martinez (Mike), Patricia Smith and John Gaynor (Sandy); his children, Jessica Gaynor (Jeff Stinson), Matt Gaynor and John Gaynor; his grandchildren, Evan Schepker (Britney), Jacinda Medina, Destiny, Baylee, Lucas, Katie of Matthew, Matthew Ortega Jr., Naveah Owens and Cameron Shepherd; and his great grandchildren, Dean and Aurora Schepker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mission 22 in Buddy's memory, honoring his appreciation for those who serve and sacrifice.
