He is survived by: his children, Mindy Lea Hammond of Independence, MO and Vernon Wayne Hammond (Jennie) of Blue Springs, MO; his stepson Danny West (Teresa) of Independence, MO; his grandchildren, Makae Suady, Katelyne Kimbrough (Gabe), Gracie Kay Hammond, Jack Wayne Hammond, Ashton Michael Wolfe, Corbin James Wolfe, Alisyn Marie Schraeder, Jude West, Noble West and Ashton Fletcher; his great grandchild Theodore Thomas Kimbrough; his sister Theresa Bryant of Holden; and his nephew Cody Bryant of Holden.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Medford Cemetery Association in care of the funeral home.
